Involved in all aspects of the daily operations of the consultancy. This included researching relevant legislation (e.g. EP&A Act 1979), guidelines and standards, appropriate fieldwork (soil sampling, species assessments, etc.), liaison with clientele, interpretation of results and report preparation. In this small an intimate environment I gained experience in all aspects of the following investigations:• Preliminary/Detailed Contaminated Site Investigations (derelict mine site, former orchard, industrial sites, petrol stations etc.)• On-Site Wastewater Management (Designed appropriate On-site Wastewater Management Systems for a number of commercial/residential sites. • Threatened Species Assessment.• Fieldwork and reporting for TSA (including SEPP 44 investigations on a number of rural properties).• Use of all sampling equipment (soil sampling, soil vapour sampling [PID], water sampling; calibration, QC/QC etc.)
