About Michael Warner

Throughout my professional educational career I have served Title 1 schools working with Grand Prairie ISD and Education Is Freedom, a K-12 non-profit providing College, Career, Military Readiness services for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Together have 13 years of experience supervising Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, College, and Career Military Readiness (CCMR) services, and post-secondary education programming, with 8 years of administrative experience in all positions. As a first-generation college graduate, I recognize the opportunities my pursuit for knowledge has awarded me, and I hope to inspire the communities and organizations I serve to also have a desire for life-long learning. From 2009 to 2014 I performed College and Career Academic Advising for a K-12 Non-Profit Education is Freedom serving both Dallas ISD and Grand Prairie ISD. In this role I empowered all post-secondary opportunities for first-generation college students like myself until 2015 through 2017 when I began serving as the Director for all Academic Advising. From 2017 to 2019 I began working directly for Grand Prairie ISD managing TEA’s $2 million dollar Redesign Grant and providing leadership for a Middle School Magnet Program in Grand Prairie ISD transforming a traditional middle school into the district’s one of a kind Digital Arts and Technology Academy focused on digital learning. Currently, I am managing comparable goals in a larger capacity across multiple campuses by creating, designing, and implementing complex systems that support teacher and student achievement. As the district’s CTE Program Manager, I actively train and support 150 district teachers, manage our annual operating budget of $19 million dollars, and direct the use of all educational technology facilitated by our department including grants, partnerships, and districtwide initiatives. Additionally, I direct curriculum development, staffing, relationships both inside and outside the district, and work to build sustainable platforms so campuses can flourish. Additionally I have completed 8 years of doctoral coursework in Arts, Technology, and Digital Learning education including training on technical applications, educational instruction and presentations, visual and digital content creation, & research. My proficiencies include Program Management, Project Management, Logistics, Finance, anything having to do with Digital Arts and Technology.
