This role acts as the strategic business partner for the supply chain function interfacing with the other functions of the IXOM business as well as regulatory bodies, suppliers and customers.Managing a team of mechanical & process engineers to implement technical changes and improvements.• Lead major projects including the integration of new business acquisitions within supply chain function.• Lead the Management of Change process on behalf of the supply chain function for new supply chains and key changes by adhering to Ixom’s critical SHE/QA controls, legislation and Australian Standards. Implement those supply chains from order-to-cash.• Monitor supplier performance for newly implemented supply chains.• Manage real time safety incidents within our supply chains or manufacturing sites, and later conduct detailed root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.• Accountable for pricing relating to the complex, bespoke multi-modal and multi-package international & domestic chemical supply chain solutions including toll manufacturing applications from order-to-cash.• Undertake site audits to determine loading/unloading capabilities and to ensure adherence to Ixom’s policies, Australian Standards and other regulations.• Manage and negotiate supplier contracts & support commercial on customer tender pricing/contracts.• Onboard new suppliers by conducting audits, high supplier risk assessments, invoicing process, distribution process, coordinating tender/contract performance requirements.• Accountable for all pricing, procurement, technical management & testing of the international and domestic Ixom-leased/owned bulk liquid chemical, acid & gas fleet of ISO tank containers (300+).• Develop & update robust critical control policies to ensure appropriate ISO tanks are selected for DG chemicals in terms of compatibility, engineering, Australian Standards, IMDG/ADG/IMO regulations, site loading/unloading capabilities.

Leading the export function for Australia.Overseeing safety and the end-to-end order process from order placement to final delivery including international logistics and management of the financial transaction for Ixom. Managing an operational team and adding value through process standardisation, forging relationships and providing expertise and support to the business divisions.Accountable for export compliance in terms of quarantine; hazardous and dangerous goods; scheduled drugs and poisons; chemical weapon and drug agents/precursors; and CITES.The team incorporates international cross-trade shipments and the management of the domestic and international import isotainer, drum and cylinder fleets.Main market segments include mining, gas and water treatment. Supporting and driving major manufacturing projects to reduce supply chain costs and increase efficiencies and safety.

Managing the international and domestic Ixom-leased and customer-owned bulk liquids chemical, acid & gas fleet of ISO tank containers (600+), drums and cylinders (1,000+) predominantly carrying dangerous goods Class 2.3, Class 3, Class 5, Class 6 & Class 8.Technical:- Identify appropriate ISO tanks to be used for a particular DG chemical, acid or gas in terms of ASME, Australian Standards, combatibility, IMDG/ADG regulations as well as specific gravity & safety data sheets.- Manage modifications to ISO tanks per the site loading and unloading requirements as well as ADG/IMDG regulations.- Manage ISO tank repairs and maintenance in accordance with annual budgets.Logistics:- Coordinate statutory testing of ISO tanks.- Ensure ISO tank availability for both domestic and international customers through constant monitoring of testing, repairs and tracking.- Coordinate import empty DG residue returns for chlorine and ammonia cylinders/drums and as well as ISO tanks across various chemicals, acids and gases. Arrange and make considerations for ABF & Quarantine requirements.- Forecast domestic and international requirements and ensure equipment and stock is available.Vendor management:- Negotiate ISO tank transport, leasing and repair contracts.- Develop operational KPIs and manage vendors accordingly.SH&E:- Undertake safety and compliance audits of suppliers and depots in accordance with SH&E requirements.- Strive for zero workplace injuries and fatalities through continuous improvements in safety and procedures.- Record and investigate safety incidents, and identify corrective actions.Process:- Identify inefficiencies and drive improvements in both the supply chain and SAP.- Lead projects in terms of leasing, modifications, documentation, shipping and customs.
