Currently undertaking contract CFO role with aim to permanency in diversified aged care group

In my role as a Partner in the Brisbane Practice I was the primary advisor to a number of large aged care providers and other businesses and assisted in all financial aspects of their business. This included accounting and tax compliance, statutory reporting, management reporting, business planning and special consulting services.

I was the founding CFO of the Domain Aged Care Group, which commenced as a start up company in 2004 and quickly grew to become a major player in the Australian Industry with over 2300 beds and some 20 facilities. Concurrent with my role as Partner of PKF during this time, I oversaw a finance team of more than 30 staff who were engaged in an outsourcing assignment for this major client . During this time, I was actively engaged in liasing with major financiers and equity providers as part of the overall business growth strategy. At the time of the sale of the group to the AMP Capital- backed Principal Healthcare Group in 2008, the combined group had become the largest private aged care operator in Australia, with over 5000 beds and more than 60 facilities across all states. I was heavily involved in the business sale process.
