I manage a staff of 6 employees ranging in skill sets from network administrators and desktop support to applications programmers. I participate in the procurement process for various systems within the agency and manage purchases and licensing of equipment and software.I am responsible for managing, designing, adding new functionality, and maintaining workers’ compensation applications using PowerBuilder as well as minor work in Linux both utilizing Oracle. This requires extensive use of Oracle Stored Procedures and Packages.I manage, write and maintain our internal and external websites that are used for a variety of purposes including report generation, data manipulation, monitoring and tracking import processes, adjusting workflow in various applications, helpdesk systems, and much more. This is coded using Microsoft Visual Studio in C# and utilizing both SQL Server and Oracle databases.I implement new systems and integrate them into the existing agency systems often requiring the creation of interfaces. Most recently this included implementation of a new billing system that integrated with an outside vendor.

After only 3 months, I became the sole programmer on staff. Fortunately during those 3 months, I spend all of my free time learning and debugging through most of the applications so I would be able to deal with any situations that could arise. While learning these applications, I was also responsible for designing, adding new functionality, and maintaining over 15 different websites for various parts of the agency. These applications were written in a combination of C# and VB utilizing SQL Server 2015. I also assisted in implementing 3 different OnBase (Document Management) projects.When I got their applications were utilizing various forms of security or none at all. I was responsible for updating all the applications security to utilize the same encrypted password system. I also established a source control repository and configured the applications to run from it.One of the last projects I completed was creating an application for managing their change control process. This application coordinated with various department heads allowing them to know what code was being implemented and approving the changes for production.

This is coded using Microsoft Visual Studio in C# and utilizing both SQL Server and Oracle databases.I have supervised up to 13 employees who are responsible for Software Development, Document Indexing, Networking, and Server maintenance.

I was responsible for designing, coding, testing, installation, and support. I was a team leader for various Property and Casualty products using "C", C++, Visual Basic, Progress, Visual Studio, COBOL, IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server.I visited numerous customer sites to assist with product design, installation, and modifications in order to meet the customer needs.
