Consulting on business process improvement through software implementation and agile development practices at Origin Energy. Coordinating client’s IT resources to deliver software development projects on time & on budget. Technology advisory role for tenders produced by the wider NEC business.• Coordinated the design, development and deployment of an online quoting system for B2B quotes, used by 250 users. Productivity improvement and accuracy improvement value estimated at approximately $10 million per annum. Migrated 3,500 commercial and industrial customers totaling approximately $1 billion in contract value.• Implemented an automated reconciliation of new bills against multiple existing systems to improve quote/bill accuracy and reduce rework. Productivity and accuracy improvement value estimated to be in excess of $4 million per year.• Conducted training sessions for client’s IT resources on new technologies and agile methodologies. Adoption of agile methodologies resulted in some project deliverables being brought forward approximately six months and resulted in the final product being more closely aligned with business needs.

Coordinated a team of software developers. Serviced the software needs of the corporate, construction, tunneling, power, rail and aviation business units, and the company intranet.• Delivered new company intranet serving 5000+ users. Significant cost savings made by switching to in-house resources and hardware. Negotiated and leveraged enterprise software licensing agreements with Microsoft representatives.• Scheduled and began a program of works to transition business units away from legacy systems no longer supported by their vendors. Delivered presentations on program in a national roadshow.• Delivered modules of a new operational and financial management system to facilitate the above transition.• Liaised with business and delivered business improvement initiatives, such as the adoption of agile development methodologies, to improve delivery times and communication.• Assisted with integration of 3rd party asset management systems.
