I serve as chief legal officer of Morgan Stanley's unit investment trusts, the "Morgan Stanley Portfolios," and advise Morgan Stanley Wealth Management on the distribution of mutual funds, ETFs and other registered investment products. I began my career as a litigator at Milbank LLP, specializing in defending fund advisers from various types of claims, before becoming associate general counsel at an asset manager. I enjoy writing about fund regulation and have published articles in the Virginia Law & Business Review, the Michigan Business & Entrepreneurial Law Review and The Investment Lawyer. I graduated Order of the Coif from Vanderbilt University Law School and Swarthmore College, where I played lacrosse. Lastly, I am active in my community and serve on the board of directors of the Metropolitan Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Fund and Oak Lane Child Care Center.
