About Michael Weir

A commercially focused and results orientated qualified HR Professional who also has a number of years line management experience. Demonstrated an excellent track record of providing valued support and guidance to Managers up to Director level, which is supported by a naturally empathetic approach. Demonstrating interpersonal and commercial prowess, this has helped develop relationships with key stakeholders within the Business, as well as Trade Unions which has been vitally important in the heavily unionised Businesses I have worked in. Although experienced in various aspects of a HR professional role, I have a particular expertise in Employee Relations and the coaching and development of Managers which includes significant experience in managing high levels of complex and varied caseloads in fast paced environments, and developing and delivering training to Managers to help them manage and support their people.Motivated by providing a solution driven approach to challenging situations, I am also proud of the commitment I demonstrate for any Business I have represented including leading and supporting colleagues through periods of change. A team focussed individual that enjoys working and supporting people, I also adapt this approach in my voluntary role of the Hartlepool United Supporters Trust Board, developing relationships with members, the Football Club and the wider community.
