Building systems and plans to support students that have more intensive service needs. They receive specially designed instruction (SDI) addressing their moderate to intensive academic and functional needs. Instructional content varies, based on each student’s IEP.These students make progress on their IEP goals while spending the majority of their instructional time in general education settings with a full range of supports needed. These students benefit from a variety of specialized instruction, including: -smaller group instruction -intervention, for part of the day I provided services in any setting, based on the student's IEP. This involves substantial collaboration with families, general education teachers, and other service providers.I serve students who qualify in any IDEA disability category.
I work with students to improve their ACT Science scores. The ACT Science subtest is all about strategy. There are six sections total, and in all but one students shouldn't read the passages. I help them identify the type of question and use a step-by-step process to find the answer. The goal is to help them save time and improve their score significantly.
