Managed the sales team responsible for residential and commerical property advertising in the Financial Times. My biggest success was the launch of House & Home, which I was allowed to proceed with after pitching to senior managers. To ensure its success, I had to sell to the concept to clients and agencies as well as work closely with Editorial, Marketing, PR and Production. I was heavily involved in its launch of House & Home, including organising a reader prize draw- a £250,000 property in Canada (to date, the FT’s highest value prize). Additionally, I managed to increase the team (from 5 to 9)- impressive considering the FT had a headcount freeze at the time. House & Home is one the FT’s largest launches and its success is highly acknowledged in the industry.Property advertising revenue across both residential and commecial property more than doubled in my two years leading the team.

Though I was offered a full-time role after the training programme completed, I did not wish for my career to progress in the field of hotel ops as I saw sales as being my true passion.
