Prior to joining JLL Michael was with Cypress Equities since 2008 as Managing Director of leasing and asset management for the portfolio of 10.5 million square feet. For more than 25 years, he has been in involved in all aspects of the real estate business initially focusing on landlord and tenant representation working with clients such as RTC, FDIC, GE Capital, AEW Trust, Investment Properties, Inc., Crow Holdings and Madison Realty Group. Additionally, Michael’s career includes a position as national director of retail for Trammell Crow Company. While at Trammell Crow, Michael’s clients included OshKosh, Chico’s, Hollywood Video, Citibank, Zoe’s Kitchen, Henredon Furniture, Natuzzi Furniture, AMC Theaters and Sears. Wheat has also held positions of vice president of leasing at The MG Herring Group and senior vice president at Weitzman Group.
