Felony Prosecutor with the Nueces County District Attorney's Office. I am currently assigned as the liaison to the Corpus Christi Police Department, as an Intake Attorney. I am responsible for advising Law Enforcement Agencies in Corpus Christi, screening, preparing and presenting felony case to the Grand Jury.

As the principal for the Law Office I shifted my practice in 2008 to include representation of mineral owners in leasing, lease modifications and enforcement of lease provisions. These duties have required me to ensure that lease provisions are followed and division orders are in proper order before my clients sign them. My experience as an attorney has taught me how to communicate with professionals, and laymen alike. It has also taught me the importance of developing and maintaining relationships in business.

Leasing, Drill Site Title, Due Diligence, and mineral ownership. This required me to analyze all Oil and Gas Leases affecting the subject property for any terms or conditions that may interfere with our intended operations, and to examine title to verify the warranty of title. Because of the high volume and fast pass of this project I learned the value of making detailed notes while in the deed room, and the importance of organization when working on eight or more files at one time

Crevalle Energy, LLC. As a landman for Crevalle Energy I was responsible for Curative, MORS, Acquisitions, and due diligence. Because of my legal background I was also responsible for assisting other with the same. At times I was also required to prepare mineral ownership reports for various tracts in the prospect area. The largest project was performing due diligence on the acquisition. This required me to analyze all Oil and Gas Leases affecting the subject property for any terms or conditions that may interfere with our intended operations, and to examine title to verify the warranty of title. This project taught me the importance of thoroughly examining all title history, lease terms, conditions and requirements before communicating with mineral owners.

PetraLand, LLC As a landman for PetraLand, I was primarily responsible for leasing mineral owners in the prospect areas. This required me to locate and negotiate leases with mineral owners. I was also required to prepare mineral ownership reports for various tracts in the prospect area. As part of these duties, I had to analyze all proposed leases, amendments and terms to ensure compliance with company directives. Because of my legal background I was also responsible for assisting other with the same. During this time I successfully leased 126 mineral owners concerning 2600 mineral acres. I found landowners appreciate the fact that I can talk with them about what to expect on their property from a realistic perspective.

OGM LAND (Now Percheron LLC) I was responsible for preparing drill site title, in the Utica Shale prospect. This included the preparation of mineral ownership reports, and plats. I was also responsible for assisting other landmen with same including special projects on common title. This project taught me the importance of working as a team, and sharing information with the other crew members.

MD Dixon, LLC, I was responsible for preparing drill site title, in the Eagle Ford Shale prospect. This included the preparation of mineral ownership reports, and plats. While this project was only running title it taught me how to negotiate my way around a court house records and the importance of asking questions of the clerks to find information.

At the University of Texas San Antonio I have taught Constitutional Law, Seminar in Jurisprudence, Texas Politics and Society, American Government, Law and Society, and Judicial Politics, for the Department of Political Science and Geography.

Marine Safety Office Corpus Christi, Texas. We were responsible for facility and vessel inspections at the Port of Corpus Christi, to ensure compliance with all Federal Laws, Regulations and International Treaties.
