Currently located in London, I'm a data engineer at Quantexa. My role in the delivery team entails delivering a solution to clients using Quantexa's platform across a variety of applications in financial services. This can take many forms, using tools such as Scala, SQL, Apache Spark, Git, AngularJS, Typescript and more.I have a keen interest in big data processing and using my intuition and technical skills to provide powerful context to otherwise unstructured information. My time at university studing aeronautical engineering nurtured my skills in analytics and problem solving, giving me the confidence to take on challenging and rewarding professional roles.I'm looking to continue my development and learn about the different tools available to me in the context of data engineering and software development. My current technical strengths are rooted in functional/declerative programming, but I'm always looking to branch out and understand other paradigms, mostly in my spare time. I thrive on teamwork and client interaction, and enjoy fast-paced and forward-thinking working environments.
