Microsoft Bing Multimedia is an image and video search engine that empowers users with media-rich experiences from their multi-session activities anywhere on the web.As a product manager on the Bing multimedia team, I drive two products in parallel to support the overall multimedia search quality. I protect our users from the many types of detrimental content found on the internet, building machine-learning models to help us classify and understand harmful content. I collaborate with teams to ensure we are taking the necessary steps and integrations to provide a safe search experience for our users. In parallel, I also drive the roadmap of our internal measurement platform, a critical piece of infrastructure supporting partner's agility and testing of new document rankers, models, and pipelines.Key highlights:• Curated and drove the execution of the annual product plan for the multimedia-wide content moderation vertical and the centralized measurement platform vertical, sourcing requirements and collaborating with partner teams, aligning key results with leadership’s objectives• Supported partner team agility through the delivery of a redesigned flexible, self-serve measurement platform, reducing the technical barriers for partners to create more customized scenarios to fit their unique needs, ultimately delivering the new platform early and meeting our fiscal year commitments in advance• Led a multimedia-wide cloud savings initiative, collaborating with a dozen teams to identify and execute on cost savings opportunities, resulting in annual savings of more than $1,000,000

PHEMI is a turnkey, integrated big data management platform focusing on driving advanced analytics and machine learning generated from highly sensitive structured and unstructured data at the speed and scale required by modern businesses.Owner of professional services at PHEMI, I was responsible for delivering customer value through successful product deployments and service engagements in the cloud, ranging from high-performance ETL workflows to production machine learning models. Customers knew me as a leader and go-to technical resource for understanding and translating their business needs into technology solutions. Day-to-day I managed a team of professional services engineers, engaged with customers on project plans, timelines, and deliverables, consulted on technical pre-sales activities, and oversaw the delivery of all products and services at PHEMI.Key highlights:• Led a cross-functional technical team through design and execution of the project plan to implement the first AWS cloud-native data lab for a major Vancouver health authority leveraging native AWS analytics services such as SageMaker and custom AWS Workspaces in a highly-governed environment working with sensitive healthcare data• Developed project plan and oversaw the execution and delivery for a production data governance and advanced analytics platform for a major provincial health authority, on which critical daily COVID-19 lab testing reports are generated for the health ministry based on private laboratory testing data

During my time as product manager, I was responsible for bringing the product vision to life. Taking on an incomplete fledging product, I transformed it into a turnkey big data governance and analytics platform running production workflows for numerous enterprise customers. Driving the product strategy, I evangelized and executed the product roadmap to ensure both current and future customers were given the best possible product to drive their businesses forward. Building my foundational technical skills, I operated as a full stack developer working on frontend, backend, and CI/CD code pipelines.
