Responsibilities include review & development of Business Improvement cases complete with justifications, Capital Expenditure Requests, Creating & recording Change Of Management Request & developing Detailed Job Procedures for the safe & effective execution of tasks.The above is to ensure continuous development of the mine site to achieve a safe, reliable, repeatable production throughputs with the lowest operating costs. Mine Equipment includes:- Gyrator & Cone Crushers. Pan, Belt & Vibration Feeders. Single, Banana & Dewatering Screens. High Pressure Grinding Rolls. Ball & Tower Mills. Cyclones. Magnetic Separation drums. Reverse Floatation. Filter Presses. Thickeners. Water, Reagent & Slurry pumping system.Lead appointee to manage a team responsible for the management, recording & inspection of Fixed & Itinerant Classified Plant ensuring the MSIR & DMP Statutory requirements are fulfilled & in line with the Business directive. Site License appointee for the operation and maintenance of Radioactive Fixed Gauges are completed in line with the Statutory requirements as per the Radioactive council requirements.

Provide first line Engineering support to the Construction & Commissioning teams to resolve and manage arising issues that are detriment to the safety, constructability, serviceability & performance of the installation which could impact project delivery, client expectations & hand over. Ensure all Field Inspection Checks & Surveys for structure & mechanical equipment (Structures, GTU’s, Conveyor drives and pulleys, Transfer station Shuttle rail and wheels, Chute position, Shiploader alignment, Product weighers etc…) are installed as per Australian standards, Vendor data, design tolerances and Client WAIO Standard details. Where latent conditions prohibit this, provide a timely and achievable technical solutions that can be implemented.Continuously review installations during the construction phase and provide feedback to SMP Superintendents & Supervisors to ensure installation is as per design and Client standards. Where deficiencies exist in design, manage the creation of Scope of work documents to initiate the tendering process for supply & install as required.Formally document Shop detailing & Fabrication errors via a Material deficiency report process to capture rectification requirements, drawing Redline mark ups & costs attributed in modifying the item back to design for claim process.Formally record via Non Conformance Reports (NCR) defective vendor supplied equipment to initiate the rectification process. Continuously participate in review sessions “Lessons Learnt” to capture details of site rectification works so these details can be feedback to the Design team for review of forth coming installations to eliminate a reoccurrence.

Provide asset management support to clients to achieve business availability requirements using the applicable RCM techniques. Techniques used include training & workshop facilitation of Criticality Assessments and FMECA of assets. Creation of asset models on proposed or existing equipment to identify potential system failures and their effects on availability and production with recommendations on how these failures can be mitigated or managed. AWB modelling and optimisation of maintenance activities whilst still achieving business OEE requirements. Manage Pre production reliability activities to ensure projects deliver reliable/maintainable assets that meet business operational requirements. Conduct RCA on equipment and manage outputs to increase safety, availability & production of the said asset.Produce technical documents for the safe operation and maintenance of equipment in the form of Equipment Maintenance Strategies and Safe Working Instructions.Creation of Technical Object Structures and Bill Of Materials.

Successfully managing a multi-disciplined team consisting of maintenance engineers, maintenance technicians, craftsmen and contract labour in the planning and execution of plant based maintenance, breakdown maintenance and mechanical project work to optimise productivity, plant availability and quality for the whole site ensuring the successful manufacture of Ground engagement tooling (GET), rigging and drag equipment for all the major mining companies.Responsible for:Identify business improvements and produce capital expenditure proposals for increasing the profitability and OHS&E for the entire site in line with the business vision.Manage capital projects from concept though to commissioning.Management and development of preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimum availability against spenditure. Responsible for managing the execution of plant based mechanical maintenance for my area of responsibility:Cti fully Automated Coil Warehouse that consists of five 4.4t Stacker cranes working 24 hours/day in 3 aisles (14m high, 132m wide, 15m long) with a capacity to store 10,000 Tonnes of premium grade material, complete with a state of the art protective wrapping film/poly-weave machine.Cti monorail system Four coil compacting & strapping machines that consist of hydraulic compacting rams, complete with pneumatic strapping heads which have an array of cylinders & air motors controlled by via PLC. Managing & leading a multi-disciplined team to ensure a cost-effective engineering service.Contributed to training and development of others.Manage the maintenance budget and major capital spend to agreed targets.Design, plan & cost future capital schemes for several years in advance.Implementing defect elimination processes, FMEA, Root cause analysis to understand problematic areas and to formulate corrective action plans for continuous improvement.Contract owner for all contract companies working within my area(s). Responsibilities includes:- Site inductions, Risk Assessments and Safe Working Procedures are in place, all the correct permits are filled in and discussed prior to commencing work (isolation, hot work, excavation, confined spaces etc. )Approve /Create Risk assessments with the appropriate Safe working procedures.Record any plant modifications via Management of change, highlighting the alterations incurred and that all safety implications have been Risk Assessed and managed accordingly.Report near misses with remedial actions to stop any reoccurrencesConduct behaviour observations to aid maintaining safe working practices.Conduct formal return to work interviews after any spells of absenteeism.To provide a professional role within the business to ensure Health and Safety standards are met.

Provide accurate estimating and planning activities for a Mechanical Workshop (£13 Million turnover) processes by evaluating enquires/orders, interpreting engineering drawings and material specifications to determine the lowest cost quality engineering service to both in house and external customers.Production of detailed workshop planning and costing schedules, analyse and interpret inspection reports to determine the correct refurbishment procedures to achieve customer requirements, obtain quotes for the procurement of material and non stocked items, organize and manage external specialist companies where in house resources have been exceeded, manage the sub contracting of work when over capacity has been reached.Planning disciplines covered:- Welding (MMA, Mig and Sub Arc), Plating, Heat Treatment, Blacksmith, Fitting and assembly, Machine shop (Manual and CNC Lathe, Manual and CNC Milling, Manual and CNC Horizontal Boring, Vertical Boring, Slotting, Shaping, Grinding, Profile Burning & Sawing, Drilling and Marking Off.Adherence to strict Quality Control was a vital part of the process to up hold customer satisfaction, this was achieved by:- Visual inspection, Hardness Testing, Non Destructive Testing (Magnetic Particle Inspection, Dye-Pen and Ultrasonic) and Welding and Heat Treatment Procedural documentation.
