• Lead a team of 4 employees and 1 long term contractor responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and developing software systems that support our business departments across headquarters and five manufacturing facilities including: Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Environmental, Safety, and Health.• Lead 2 additional external teams:o 3 RSI resources responsible for Database administration within Ascendo 2 Schneider-Electric team members responsible for maintaining our systems supporting manufacturing and asset reliability.• Partner with manufacturing units to enable company driven initiatives through prioritization and resource allocation (collaborating with Infrastructure and Network to ensure the IT environment is able to support the business requirements)• Developed Functional Requirements Specification to replace outdated Manufacturing systems in two different manufacturing locations, covering Nylon Plastics and Polymers (NPP) from production to Pack out as well as carpet yarn manufacturing and baling operations. One project is in progress and the other is pending RFQ. These replacements are expected to improve production reporting accuracy, enable real time genealogy tracking, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by tracking downtime.• Review major project statuses with Senior management across the company via our Project Management Office implementation (Brightworks on SharePoint).• Translate IT goals into objectives for my staff, enabling them to focus on measurable work that aligns with and supports our company strategy. I review their individual contributions, provide feedback, and work with them on their development plans (training, leadership, etc.)

In this role, I worked to implement business solutions as opposed to requested applications. I participated in business meetings to understand business processes as well as the flow of data through those processes. By doing so, I was able to work with the business to streamline data collection, provision better “master data” governance, and increase efficiency of turning data into information.• Implemented Enterprise Dashboard solution (Visual Factory) using Tableau, SQL Server, and automated data collection/transformation to enable drill down reporting at the manufacturing unit level. Empowered business users to perform their own analyses via Tableau Desktop Pro, while working with key business users to ensure everyone is using agreed upon data sources that have been verified.• Implemented enterprise level solutions (Xtract) to standardize data collection from SAP.• Developed and Implemented an automated SAP production reporting solution enabling manufacturing engineers to manage data flow from Process Control Historians to SAP w/o additional IT assistance. This was done by standardizing production reporting and using SAP recipe characteristics to identify IP21 historian and tags containing data relevant to production, consumption, by-production and activity costs.

Worked with a team of developers to migrate and merge three Manufacturing systems from an obsolete VMS operating system to the Windows platform. I worked closely with the business to gather system requirements, factor common components and enhance functionality within the new system.Developed a portable wireless scanning solution that allows scanning of inventory into a database through use of hand held pocket pc scanning devices, Active Server Pages with javascript, and a wireless ad-hoc network.Developed a solution to automate generation and delivery of Certificates of Analyses via email and/or fax to customers when a shipment was “goods issued” in our Enterprise SAP system. This was achieved using Visual Basic, Oracle Reports, BizTalk, MS Message Queuing, MS Exchange, and a TopCall server.Developed a data driven security model library which became our Nylon division standard for securing applications by integrating application functionality with our MS Exchange group management for roles. Application support was reduced by integrating application logons with network logons, allowing single sign-on.

Assumed support responsibility for seven HR and Manufacturing systems requiring 24x7 support.Designed and developed a Division wide system, ATrack, which enabled the Application Development team to capture, prioritize, and review requests for work. ATrack was also essential in documenting programming approvals for compliance with IT Audit Standards.Worked through the entire life cycle of requirements gathering, design, development, and maintenance of a three tier Safety Action Follow-up application used by 5 geographical locations. The application uses an email triggered workflow process.
