As one of fie Board members I was responsible for public relations and event coordination of the "European Geography Association for Students and Young Geographers".My specific tasks were on the one side to maintain the public face of the association by coordinating it's social media strategy, promotional media team and cooperation with private and public partners. On the other side I was the responsible contact person for over 150 international event organizing teams. My tasks ranged from facilitating trainings in team coordination, fundraising and promotion strategies to controlling our internal reporting system and creating guidelines. As member of the Board Team I was involved in financial decisions, grant writing and reporting, problem solving, administrative work and public presentations. I spend 11 month in the work and travel program of “TravelWorks”. During this time I worked on different places from the west to the east coast of Canada. I used this opportunity to broaden my view and gain experience in various fields. My main field of work was volunteering in the `World Wide Opportunities on Organic farms` (WWOOF) program. During my working time on the farms I learned to take responsibility for my actions, to work as a part of a team and to appreciate a successful day of work. Meanwhile I learned about different sustainable agriculture strategies and the importance of natural resources. This inspired me to study in the field of Geography.
