Michaela Boyd would describe herself as “The Humans Resource.” It is in her nature to be of service to others. Her desire to help people has been proven not only in her personal life but also in her military career! Ms. Boyd is a Veteran, who served in the United State Air Force for 10 years! During her tenure she served as a Human Resources Manager, supporting members of the 136th Airlift Wing (Fort Worth, TX). Her experience and competencies make her a great asset to the TWC, HR Team! Michaela is the newest HR Recruiter for TWC, covering all TWC divisions, excluding Vocational Rehabilitation! She has exceptional communication skills, great attention to detail and works well under pressure. Michaela obtained her B.S. in Psychology, from Oklahoma State University! She also studied Integrative Medicine at AOMA Graduate School. Her ability to naturally care and connect with people is her “Superpower!” Her experience in the Air Force, well equip her for this role and she is “always excited to support the Citizens of Texas with any of their recruitment needs!”In addition to supporting the Citizens of Texas; Ms. Boyd’s personal mission is to continue serving members of the Armed Forces, in a civilian capacity! She assists with Veteran Direct Hires, which allows Veterans to be seamlessly placed into positions they qualify for. She has experienced being a transitioning military member and understands the discomfort of that adjustment. It is her job to help TWC fill requisitions with the best talent, but it is her honor to place people in the hands of such a wonderful agency that values its employees, Veterans and the State of Texas!
