Responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in the consistent delivery of the retail, client and employee engagement strategy to achieve business goals whilst being an ambassador of the Harrods brand.LEADERSHIP- Inspire the team to deliver exceptional sales and service by flexing between coaching and directive management as appropriate. - Cascading corporate announcements and communications to the team; ensuring the messages are delivered accurately and in an engaging manner.- Development of talent within the team; People review process is adhered to.- Build effective working relationships with support functions including buying, distribution, visual merchandising and HR.SALES & SERVICE- Accountable for delivering world class service to the customer through the team's performance.- Constantly monitor the standards of service to the customer by the team to ensure that it is of the required standard.- Responsible for delivering the agreed actions in line with the retail sales and service strategy.- Maximise performance through setting stretching but achievable goals in sales and service for all team members.- Empower all employees to do everything necessary to satisfy the customer within the given parameters.COMMERCIAL - Use all available tools to analyse sales performance weekly and monthly; review and agree any corrective action with sales manager.- Provide qualitative feedback on all merchandise issues, customer comments and employee opinion and deliver next steps.- Be aware of competitor activity; provide qualitative feedback to sales manager where appropriate. Deliver any agreed actions.OPERATIONS- Responsible for adhering to company procedures and compliance targets including inventory control, stock loss and stock takes.- VM and back of house standards in line with company expectations.- Understand and properly execute all systems, POS procedures, and departmental operating procedures including sale set up/take down.

• Assisting the running of a high street store to meet targets and utilize company policies, with the main aim to maximize profits.• Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what competitors are doing to exceed the expectations of our regional director.• Dealing with staffing issues such as conducting appraisals, performance reviews, updating staff on business performance and new initiatives and providing training and development.• Fully overseeing staff on targets, customer service excellence and product knowledge with a main focus being on sales as well as motivating the team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.• Responsible for keeping the store well merchandised, managing stock levels and using IT to record sales and KPI’s for data analysis and forward planning.
