On top of my tenacious desire to absorb all education involving glass, I possess strong fundamentals from my years as a graphic designer for solid understanding of balance, layout, design, and colour. I am a Glass Artist. My beginning course at Glasscraft sparked me to explore more medieval and renaissance methods of painting glass. I began to work remotely with David Williams and Stephen Bryne in the UK, taking up study from their published works, then later an intensive week long in person program at Bryn Athyn College in PA with Williams and Bryne. I travel where I could to observe painted glass in museums in London, Manchester, New York, Philadelphia and Toronto.My work at the Stonehouse Of Campbellville has brought to light my tenacious ability to be a 'Jack of all trades'. My primary focus at The Stonehouse is the careful restoration and repair of unique and antique stained glass windows. In addition to leading our social media relations, I am also the in house graphic designer, photographer, problem solver, blogger, and occasional cat groomer to my feline co-workers. I am honoured to have been a guest lecturer at Sheridan College, introducing students to the ancient form of glass painting. I am a proud member of the British Society of Glass Painters.My passion for glass and historical glass can be seen in the dedication I put into my work as a restoration artist. As a living Education Centre, I am always pleased and enthusiastic to teach visitors about the history of our windows, glass painting through the ages, and discussing how little has changed in this unrelenting art form over the past 900 years.
