After studying psychology and criminology, I gained experience as a mental health rehabilitation support worker at St. Andrews Healthcare. This enabled me to learn about different pathways within the hospital, such as Men's medium secure, Women's medium secure, and CAMHS. During this role, I started volunteering as an Assistant Psychologist under a qualified Forensic Psychologist. After gaining experiencing in trauma-informed care I moved onto supporting survivors of sexual violence through criminal justice and non-criminal justice proceedings at Northamptonshire Rape Crisis. Alongside this, I took part in the Abortion Rights Activist Bootcamp that aims to organise and implement new campaigns around the UK, in order to raise awareness around Abortion rights. Moving forward, I am now the South-West Domestic Violence support worker at MOVE Ireland covering Kerry, Cork and Limerick. My role is to support victim-survivors of domestic violence using trauma-informed care.
