Coming from a state school background, widening participation is incredibly important to me. In 2022 just before I finished medical school, I co-founded a grassroots campaign '#LiveableNHSBursary' to raise awareness of the inequity of funding for medical students in the UK. We successfully secured thousands of pounds of funding for medical students and changed funding policies at medical schools. This offset my passion for grassroots activism and leadership. I graduated from medical school in 2022, with honours. In August 2024, I completed foundation training. I am now working as a locum FY3 doctor. In 2023-24 I held a leadership position of Vice-President of the North West Foundation Forum and I was the UKFPO FDAB FY2 Lead for the North West.In 2024, I completed a PGCert in Clinical Practice, Management & Education.I am interested in specialising in Paediatrics. I would also like to explore careers outside of Medicine with my leadership experience.
