I oversaw 4 Soldiers who I would have to give daily tasks to, and they would help assist me with getting things done. A lot of the tasks that had to be done had to be done efficiently and in a timely manner. I oversaw the supply room even when I very first started. My goal was to organize the supply room and to make transactions go smoothly and efficiently and that is what I did. I received a 10 of 10 rating on my annual reviews and received multiple awards for completing task efficiently and fluently. Being a Culinary Specialist was a very “on the go” job. It involved early mornings and late nights. It was a fun job and you had to pay attention to detail in and out of the kitchen. You had to have a good work ethic and be very motivated to serve good meals. My unit would go to the field a lot of times and we had to cook out of a mobile kitchen where we served 70+ people or sometimes 400+ every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. When we were not in the field, we would cook for 2000+ people.
