As a SQL database administrator at Providence Health, I work with standalone and clustered environments, installing, managing, and upgrading SQL from 2008rs to 2022 using Microsoft best practices. I have been involved in setting up HADR solutions, such as log shipping, replication, and always on availability, to ensure data integrity and availability.I also secure my databases by setting up logins, users, and granting them necessary permissions, as well as using TDEs, always encrypted, and dynamic data masking features. I use ETL tools and processes to transform and load data from various sources, and I monitor my environment using inbuilt and third-party tools, such as activity monitor, extended events, SQL server profiler, performance monitor, and Idera. I document problematic errors and solutions for future reference.I have a diploma in automation engineer technology/technician from Xingtai Polytechnic College in China, where I learned how to design, implement, and troubleshoot automated systems and devices. I use my automation skills to optimize SQL database performance and efficiency, and to automate backup and migration tasks. I am passionate about learning new technologies and best practices in SQL database administration, and I strive to deliver high-quality and secure data solutions for Providence Health.
