I have over 20 years of experience working in arts leadership. Currently, I serve as the Executive Director of the Cape Arts and Entertainment (dba Cape Symphony), where I lead a cross-collaborative team of 26 professional staff, 67 union musicians and 54 faculty members, presenting memorable concerts, strong education programs and community collaborations! I'm deeply passionate about the power of art and its ability to transform.Previously, I served as the Director of Education and Community Initiatives at the Philadelphia Orchestra to help expand orchestra’s programming to a more community-based focus. I directed the orchestra’s HEAR initiative that focuses on health, education, access and research programming. The orchestra works with Temple University’s Quality of Life Research Center to provide a music therapy program at a ministry in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Orchestra also serves as the artistic director for the Philadelphia School District and oversees band, orchestra, and choir programming. The orchestra does background work to make sure they are doing what effects and makes change in the community and uses data to back up their work. I was also instrumental in the creation of the All City Orchestra Summer Academy (ACOSA). ACOSA serves as a collaborative mission between The Philadelphia Orchestra, Project 440, the Philadelphia School District and the Mann Center in providing a two week opportunity to provide a local, high quality, immersive and free music education resource to local Philadelphia music students. If you catch me outside of work, I am an avid road cyclist, rock guitar player and I love meeting new people.
