CurrentAs the Executive Director of CA&E, I play a pivotal role in propelling the organization forward through visionary leadership and entrepreneurial strategies, leading to consistent growth. My responsibilities encompass guiding a dynamic team of 26 staff members, 67 union musicians, and 50 faculty members towards excellence, with a strong emphasis on leadership, fundraising, marketing, and team-building. My approach combines a robust work ethic, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for music, education, and the arts, enabling me to effectively create and implement strategic plans in collaboration with the board. I excel in driving both internal and external communications to ensure alignment with CA&E’s mission, while also boosting the institution's reputation and revenue streams. As the chief fundraiser, I focus on enhancing stakeholder relationships and ensuring that operational plans are not only executed but also monitored and reported, guaranteeing the organization's sustained success and impact.• Strengthened the organization through the COVID 19-Pandemic by reducing inefficiencies and fostering cross departmental collaboration• Restructured organization merging both business units (Conservatory and Symphony) under one corporate umbrella• Bargained Boston Musicians Association Union Contract with 9% pay increases over two years and a new 401k plan• Established a new business entity called Cape Symphony Presents to increase revenue and serve all 15 communities on Cape Cod and the Islands with the Symphony• Increased organization recognition by brokering new collaborations with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, Cape Cod Community College, and the Barnstable YMCA• Negotiated a new collaboration with the town of Hyannis to organize an annual Fourth of July celebration with a divided budget
