Hello and welcome! My career as a claims adjuster with Embrace Pet Insurance allows me to utilize my veterinary experience and knowledge while maintaining a work-life balance. The work load includes: adjudicating an average of 100 claims per day, medical coding of over 30 medical records and maintaining empathy while communicating with pet parents about coverage decisions. I am also software developer! I aim to take my years of experienced as a veterinary professional and apply them to developing software for client and clinic use. Graduate of devCodeCamp's Flex Bootcamp and recipient of a Software Development Certificate. My software journey started in 2022 through self-teaching and lots of YouTube videos. I have a passion for UI/UX, frontend design, and developing web applications. As a credentialed veterinary technician, I have several certifications, a license and a specialty degree that just over 100 people in the world can claim. I take that same desire and passion to succeed and put it toward thriving in my career. I first created it to better hone my HTML and CSS skills, then later converted it into web application using the React.js framework and JavaScript. Pawrent Helper (https://github.com/Mmeissner37/Capstone)- Capstone project. A full stack web application to help pet parents keep track of their pets medications and vet appointments. Create personalized pet profiles, add/update/delete medications to always know what's current for each animal, and schedule vet appointments with the registered veterinary clinic.
