I come from a small business family, where I learned not only how to run the day-to-day activities, but how to communicate with employees and with customers. I was told I have "the gift of gab" which is to say I like to talk. A lot. I started at the restaurant at 10 years old, making my own money, learning to save half of it, and using the other half to buy my own things. This showed me the value of working hard and enjoying the fruits of your labor. It wasn't easy getting up at 6 in the morning during that first summer, but it was rewarding, meeting a variety of people from delivery drivers to the customers that would walk through the door. I was fortunate to meet business owners, managers, foremen, welders, carpenters, salesmen, office personnel, and the list goes on. Those early days would help shape my career focusing my strong work ethic and communication skills. I have a diverse professional background in a variety of industries; from tele sales, account management, and recently in Project Management. The experience I have gained in those fields have built my skills as a diverse communicator and someone who not only works well communicating with customers, but someone who works will in a diverse team environment.I take pride in the fact that I have tried different things in various roles, and I am going to continue doing so, learning and exploring while building my personal and professional tool boxes. It's hard to say what exactly I want to do, but I know that communication is always going to be the cornerstone of my professional and personal development.
