I am a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Charles McKenna's research group at the University of Southern California, specializing in organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry, with strong experience in computational chemistry for drug design. My research focuses on developing novel anticancer therapeutics for castrate-resistant prostate cancer, synthesizing nucleotide analogues for antibacterial applications, and advancing dental adhesive technologies.Throughout my graduate studies, I have had the privilege of collaborating with renowned institutions such as the Ellison Institute of Technology, MIT, and UCLA, fostering interdisciplinary innovation in my projects. These experiences have honed my ability to work collaboratively on challenging scientific questions and broadened my perspective in drug discovery.Beyond the lab, I have served as a teaching assistant and actively contributed to organizations such as the Chemistry Graduate Student Organization and Biotech Connections Los Angeles, where I developed leadership skills, including team management and effective collaboration.What excites me most about drug development is its combination of intellectual curiosity and practical impact—I enjoy unraveling complex scientific puzzles and translating discoveries into real-world solutions.
