Online first impressions are as important to consumers as in-person first impressions. Because of this, organizations need Social Media Managers and copywriters who understand the best way to represent their brand online. This is something which I understand well. As an English major with a demonstrated history of Social Media Management, I am uniquely qualified to represent and elevate personal and professional brands. In addition to my education at the University of Georgia in both the Theatre and English departments, I was heavily involved on the Public Relations Committees of multiple on-campus organizations. This involvement equipped me with skills in both print and digital advertising as well as an ability to adapt to and adhere to marketing in multiple varied branding styles. My work experience at Bilbo Books Publishing equipped me with the ability to cultivate an aesthetically cohesive online brand for a company with no prior social media presence. In working with a team of other graphic designers and copywriters, I was able to not only maintain, but develop from the ground up, a consistent feed which showcased each of their newly published novels as well as assist in the creation of a functioning website on which to showcase them.As an e-publicist with ePresence, I worked to create branded graphics and copy content and maintain social media profiles for companies and individuals. This position gave me experience to curate content for more than ten concurrent profiles across multiple platforms. Further, my experience as a professional photographer has equipped me with the ability to capture products, people, and events as one-of-a-kind images that are as unique as they are. My photography has been an integral part of my content curation for certain profiles.Even outside of the workplace, I am always looking to try something new. From reading to investing in new hobbies, I am never standing still for long. When I am not at work, I can often be found working on my freelance photography, or performing stand-up comedy in Athens, Ga.
