It’s ideal for high-energy sport, accessible documentaries, or persuasive commercials. • BackgroundAfter studying performing arts in the UK, I moved to the Netherlands in 1989. I went on to work as a performer and artistic director in live art. Alongside my performance work I gained experience at the microphone doing voice-overs and commercials. And I also taught English to adults, specialising in advanced writing courses. This is where I gained the in-depth knowledge of language that underpins my translating, editing and writing.Around 2005 I switched my focus away from performance to translation and voice work. Then at Radio Netherlands Worldwide I developed new skills in journalism and web editing.Coming soon: as a fluent Portuguese (BR) speaker, in future I will be adding Portuguese-English translation to my services.
