My experience at nanoComposix has consisted of:-Performing extensive research on PLGA, gold nanoshell, and silica-shelled gold nanoparticles.-Creating novel and optimized HPLC methods for the quantification of analytes in our formulations using DAD and ELSD detectors.-Utilizing Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) for the concentration and diafiltration of nanoparticle solutions.-Using both SEM and TEM to take high resolution images of nanoparticles.-Balancing multiple research projects at once.-Authoring MBRs, SOPs, TMs, and TPs for both research and GMP manufacturing.-Performing literature research to find ideas and inspiration for our experiments.-Using BCA assays to determine protein concentrations in solutions.-Interpreting data from experiments and presenting it to the team and management.-Optimizing workflow in the lab by improving excel sheets, calculators, and the work environment to fit our teams needs.-Self-teaching in order to understand a project in and out, enabling me to suggest ideas that get implemented into the working process.

In this research position, my role was to help improve the sensitivity of Raman spectroscopy by creating a stable medium for gold nanoparticles to be suspended in. I synthesized sulfur-containing polymers and gold nanoparticles, and measured their interaction with UV/Vis spectroscopy. I also gained basic python experience in writing code for compiling the data.
