Reporting to UserTesting’s Vice President, Legal, in the US, I manage a diverse team of lawyers across the US and EMEA.The team provides full-service commercial legal support to UserTesting, with a focus on commercial contracts (public and private sectors) and IP, global data protection, employment law, corporate/ M&A, dispute resolution and regulatory compliance, as well as managing external counsel as and when required.As a member of the Legal Leadership Team, my day to day role involves handling escalations, supporting/ training/ developing junior members of the legal team, providing training to non-legal colleagues, horizon scanning for new legal/ regulatory/ compliance risks and partnering with the leaders of other functions within the business, e.g. the People Team, the Finance Team, the Sales Team, the Security Team, the Product Team, and the Facilities Team, as required to achieve the company’s mission. I also sit on the AI Governance Committee, and draft/ negotiate complex SAAS contracts, Data Processing Agreements, employment contracts, supply contracts, settlement agreements and corporate documentation.
