Working under the Dean of Students, I assisted with the production of public relations materials. I drafted and edited articles of various types to promote and summarize certain events, such as guest lectures and class programs, or highlight the achievements of certain students and alumni. These articles were published in the CISA newsletter, as well as on the website. Writing these articles required large amounts of research on the subjects, as well as interviews with specific students, professors and alumni. I also interviewed more than 20 CISA students for short bios as part of a featured student of the week promotion, which encouraged networking among students with common interests and career goals. Because many projects required visual elements, I took and edited photos of the events and students for use in the articles and on the CISA website. I worked independently to handle multiple responsibilities under strict deadlines.

As the sole employee devoted to social media, I helped create a web presence for a growing company. This required a great deal of research on the company's target audience. After learning about the interests of these people, I created and posted content that catered to these interests in attempt to attract more followers and encourage interactions between the company and its potential customers. I responded to all questions and comments posted on the company's social media pages. Using Photoshop, I created graphics to inform followers about new products and promotions. I also organized the company's first Facebook contest to attract more followers and fans to the pages. This contest brought in more than 200 followers within the first two days of launch. Another part of my job was to draft and edit emails to be sent to mailing lists. These emails usually told previous customers about current sales and promotions.
