Michael is an Asian Pacific based Management Consultant, who has previously held executive leadership roles in countries including Germany, China, Africa, Philippines, UK, and Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Michael has provided direct insight into social, political, business and cultural conventions and expectations needed for a global workforce.Michael has led retained Executive Search mandates and complex Human Capital reviews focusing on senior roles and leadership development with organisations in the industrial, resources, consumer, technology, retail and not for profit sectors.Professional career began with the Pacific Dunlop Group (PD) in their diverse textiles businesses in operations, sales, brand management, TQM, and logistics. During 15 years with PD, Michael operated in locations including India, China, Brazil and Australia. In the mid 90’s Michael accepted a pivotal international commercial role with the Swiss Industrial group, Benninger AG, living and working in southern Germany for 4 years leading export sales and marketing activities in China, Indonesia, Africa, Philippines, UK, Turkey and ANZ.Returning to Australia in the late 90’s, Michael joined the executive search industry, spearheading thrusts into new markets culminating in providing executive search to the sport, events and recreation sectors. In 2007, Boyden World Corporation (BWC), Michael was appointed Managing Director of BWC, a tier one global executive search firm, leading significant growth activities across the APAC region, chairing both the organisations global compliance committee and their mining and resources industries practice group.Michael has provided strategic advice to corporations assisting them to identify CEO, COO and CFO roles in the APAC, Africa and Americas regions with multiple global assignments in the technology, industrial, transportation, consumer, manufacturing, mining / resources and NFP sectors.In recent years, Michael has represented various levels of government on trade missions to India, UK, Brazil, UAE and China & currently serves as a non Executive Director on local education, sports industry and community Boards.Michael has had an opportunity to contribute to wine vintages in recent seasons & focus on his hobby and passion for wines, producing and marketing dry climate Australian vintages. This included spending 3 months in Europe in 2019 with study time in Sardinia (I) focusing on the Vermentino grape. Michael is still actively involved with his corporate Clients and non executive Board responsibilities.
