This non-profit “community of communities” is governed by its advisors and members, established to enhance information sharing between individuals, organizations and states and improve cyber resilience at all levels of participation - local, regional and national. CyberUSA provides a communication framework, a national summit and cyber related resources to communities across the United States.

Victoria boasts a robust advanced radio industry with notable entities such as CREST, Codan Communications, NRC Herzberg (Astronomy and Astrophysics), and UVic’s Propagation Laboratory. The UVic Experimental Radio Group acts as a pivotal gateway for engineering students, equipping them with the practical skills and industry knowledge sought by these employers, many of whom offer co-op positions each term. With over 27 members, including faculty, graduate students, and community participants, the group fosters a collaborative environment with weekly presentations and tutorials.

HamWAN is a non-profit organization (501c3) developing best practices for high speed amateur radio data networks. HamWAN also runs the Puget Sound Data Ring, which is a real-world network implementation of the proposed designs.HamWAN networks have been used for low-latency repeater linking, real-time video feeds from distant locations, serving APRS I-gates, providing redundant internet access to emergency operations centers, and more. Any licensed radio amateur in the service area can connect their site directly to the network with just a small investment in equipment and no recurring cost. Since many traditional uses for Internet at home are not compatible with Part 97 rules, HamWAN won't replace a home Internet connection. However, it works and acts just like one.VIDigital in the CRD currently maintains three cell sites, one co-located data center site and 4 public /24 address spaces.https://hamwan.org/
