As a kid, skipping recess to participate in math competitions should have been my first indicator that I was destined for a career in the STEM fields. Disassembling my PlayStation 2 to figure out why it wouldn't power on (nothing would stop me from playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3), should have been my second.I am now an experienced biomedical engineer embarking on an exciting transition into the field of software development. My career has been driven by a commitment to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of life-saving medical technologies, and now I aim to bring that same dedication to creating innovative software solutions. In my role as a biomedical engineer, I gained extensive experience in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize the performance of medical devices, and leading junior engineers through the many complications of electro-mechanical troubleshooting. This hands-on experience provided me with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical and leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the critical role technology plays in not only healthcare, but every facet of day-to-day life.My journey into software development began in college where I regularly used MATLAB to solve engineering related problems. I have since joined Tech Elevator and dedicated myself to building up an arsenal of tech tools including Java, SQL, JavaScript, and more. I have a constant craving for knowledge and look forward to continuing to add to my toolkit.I am eager to connect with professionals and organizations in the tech industry to further expand my network, explore opportunities, and apply my unique skill set, technical prowess, and enthusiasm to a passionate and driven team.
