I work with a team of Student Consultants and a Senior Management Consultant to assist Small Business owners and Start-Up Companies in any way possible. We deal with in a myriad of industries from restaurants and retailers to service and real estate companies. As a team, we create Financial, Action, and Marketing plans to help new and existing businesses achieve anything from receiving a loan, to cutting costs and raising revenue. The Small Business Development Center is a department of a larger body at Pitt, the Institute of Entrepreneurial Excellence, and has played a crucial role in the success of countless companies in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Responsibilities include:• Meeting with clients to discuss their business’s current state and future goals• Revising Business Plans to help the companies set clearer goals and objectives (usually to ensure that they are painting a clear picture for the lender to see)• Creating Marketing Action Plans, Financial Plans, and performing other analyses on/for small businesses that will allow them to thrive in the future• One of my major roles is to critique the social media accounts of a given company; this involves going through each account and reviewing its appearance, voice, engagement, etc.o During and after a meeting with a client, I am usually responsible for explaining the “purpose” or audience of each account’s different mediums and assessing which account would serve their business best given the industry and their brand

Was given the responsibility of managing all aspects of the Philadelphia Country Club pool facility on days where head management was unavailable. I oversaw the shifts of the lifeguards, maintained facilities, and was responsible for controlling the chemical levels in the water. I also assisted in assuring member satisfaction to the high standards of Philadelphia Country Club, and coordinated member events at the pool. In addition, I assisted in the instruction of the Philadelphia Country Club summer swim program, where I coached daily group practices and stroke clinics, and also gave private lessons to children ranging in skill level and age.
