Executive in charge of legal, finance, government sales and human resources functions for a digital design and software development firm that was named one of the 1,000 fastest growing companies in the U.S. in 2020 and 2021 by Inc.com. Implemented all facets of strategy and operations including new benefit plans, financial projections, and closing critical.

Alameda

In-house problem-solver for the nation’s largest labor-side law firm. This included resurrecting struggling cases, winning critical appeals, mitigating problematic regulations, and solving employee relation issues.

San Francisco

A boutique employment-law practice that focused on anti-discrimination suits and wage and hour class actions. Managed appeals and approximately half the firm’s caseload. Specialized in pregnancy discrimination suits and “new to the firm” legal issues.

South East Asia/San Francisco

Analyzed regulatory regimes and advocated for stronger protections communities impacted by projects funded through institutions like the World Bank and Asian Development Bank. Contracted with the University of Hawaii, Bridges Across Borders, and the International Accountability Project.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Helped establish Cambodia’s first public interest law group that focused on resisting land-grabs by the political elite of Cambodia. Directly advocated the Cambodian government, embassies and donor agencies for legislative reform.

Bosnia And Herzegovina

Testified before the U.N. Human Rights Committee on the civil and political human rights situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Research and drafted the first human rights report on LGBT issues in post-conflict Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Tirana, Albania

Designed rule of law and governance curriculums that were used in four Balkan states. Created and implemented a “rule of law bootcamp” for youth activists in the Balkans.

Berkeley, California

Authored educational modules for researchers at in partnership with organizations such as WHO, NASA, NOAA, SETI, and National Geographic.
