Graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education/Music from Seton Hall University's College of Education and Human Services in May 2022. I began my graduate studies at Montclair University August 2024. My professional journey in music education commenced in August 2022 at a charter school, where I developed and implemented music curricula for both elementary and middle school levels. My collaborative efforts with the Arts faculty led to the integration of music with other arts programs and the successful establishment of the school's inaugural drumline. In the 2023-2024 school year, I transitioned to a public school, tasked with the revitalization of music education for students in kindergarten through seventh grade. My responsibilities included teaching fundamental music theory and introducing students to a diverse array of instruments. I lead the spring concert project, for which I recruited and organized a small band ensemble. This event featured performances from both the band and vocal presentations by younger students. My approach to teaching music is designed to foster students' appreciation for the art, enabling them to express themselves creatively. My teaching style is inclusive and adaptive, designed to engage students by considering their backgrounds and strengths.During my college career at Seton Hall, I held leadership roles as Vice President and then President of the pep band. These roles not only honed my performance skills but also allowed me to conduct performances at basketball games. Additionally, my performances in the Macy's Great American Marching Band and various regional and state honor bands, have profoundly shaped my instructional and performance and leadership skills.
