For the past 10 years I have had the privilege to work with students at Vineyard Columbus. When I give my job title as Pastor you probably have a picture in your head of what that job was like and more than likely, that wasn't what my last 10 years has looked like. Did I present teachings regularly? Yes. Did I work one on one with students and volunteers regularly? Yes. After that I was much more administrative in creating systems and making sure that we are using technology to the fullest. Moving our team into a cloud storage system to increase productivity, getting the most out of our production and AV equipment, and making sure that our web and database is working to our advantage. After 10 years in this organization I knew it was time for a change and I knew early on I was going to moving towards some role in technology and thankfully that landed me at Tech Elevator. Through Tech Elevator I have loved the learning process becoming a full stack java developer. When I first started at Vineyard I had a feeling of that this is where I belonged and the more I work in understanding code the more I feel that same feeling all over again. Between the logical flow, the creativity, and all the possibilities of code I feel right at home. I am currently looking for a job to use these new skills in an organization who can help me put these skills to new challenges that I am ready for.
