In 2007 created the concept of City Winery--a combination winery, restaurant and intimate concert space. In 2012, we opened in Chicago and I hope for more locations in the coming years. www.citywinery.com On an annual basis, I produce a series of tribute shows at Carnegie Hall which raises funds for music education program for underserved youth. This includes music of Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John and REM, The Who, Rolling Stones, Neil Young, and most recently PRINCE. www.michaeldorf.com

Starting the company at the age of 23, I really didn't know what I was doing, but the first 10 years from 1987-1997 was a thrilling, exciting, and fertile time. From 1997-to 2001, I took on my first outside investors, did 4 rounds of internet funding, grew the label, opened Hollywood location in 2000 and eventually left the business in 2003.
