As Account Executive at Cor-O-Van, my main responsibility was to find new business accounts in San Diego and Orange counties. I targeted and campaigned prospects through networking, referrals, lead lists, and direct mail. I also assisted the senior sales representatives in day to day administration of the sales office: leads, schedules, paperwork and customer follow up. As Founder and President of Armed Forces Financial, I managed all aspects of running this financial services agency that marketed life insurance, mutual funds and IRA’s, including prospecting, appointment setting, face to face presentations, proposal creation, closing contracts and customer service. I passed exams to obtain both the state of California Life Insurance License and the National Association of Security Dealer’s Series 6 and 63 Security Licenses.

As a busy Life Insurance Agent immediately following up my education, I managed the sales of life insurance products, from initial contact, in-person presentations and drafting proposals to closing transactions and client follow through. I also assisted in the creation of marketing materials, coordinating and leading sales meetings, and mentoring and training new agents.I was named the Salesperson of the Month numerous times. I was also recognized as a top 25 life insurance agent for Armed Forces Benefit Association in 1997.
