As a premiere provider of VOIP technology, AudioCodes works with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Service Providers to provide VOIP solutions. My responsibilities include pre-sales engineering support for all products as well as lab certification of products within the Service Provider environment.
My responsibilities included meeting with prospects to determine requirements for Networking and Video Surveillance/Access Control, designing solutions, conferring over designs, and developing a BOM and SOW. I would be involved up until solution implementation to ensure the exact deployment of the solution as designed. I prepared written formal responses to RFPs for Video Surveillance and Physical Access Control projects using Cisco and other manufacturer devices.
My responsibilities included meeting with prospects to determine requirements in the areas of Data Center, Unified Communications Telephony, Physical Access/Video Security, Network Security, Advanced Wireless, Mobil Networking, and LAN/WAN. I presented the final solution and cost to the customer to receive signoff. This included developing a RFP response and design for large light rail solution, which included LAN and Video Surveillance and resulted in a 5.7 M project.
My responsibilities included meeting with prospects to determine requirements for LAN/WAN/UC/Wireless, designing solutions, conferring over designs, and developing a BOM and SOW. In addition, I was responsible for the Wireless technology methodology development and solutions delivery, which included creative designs for wireless custom solutions using 802.11 a/b/g/n. I provided network pre-configuration, staging, installation, and testing of routing, wireless, CME, and security solutions.
I worked as a self-employed consultant providing sales and delivery of home and SMB LAN and WAN solutions. I provided guidance to customers on the use of DSL, HPNA, and wireless networks for home and small businesses.
My responsibilities included developing ISP business in Tier 2 and 3 cities within the NewEdge data network. I helped prospects come up with ways to utilize their existing dialup and network infrastructure to reduce cost of implementation and improve ROI using NewEdge services. I worked with ISP, CLEC, ILEC, ITCO, and Enterprise customers. Creative solutions and trust building with prospects was key. I provided pre-sales and post-sales assistance.
I worked with Service Provider prospects to assist with lab certification and integration with the existing network and provide proof of concept support. I worked with customer lab teams and Vina internal engineers to develop new Service Provider features for the product. The Vina Integrator product was certified for use with 3 major CLEC customers for use in Frame Relay, TDM, and ATM networks. I also provided assistance to carrier network operation teams to trouble-shoot and correct network issues with T1, Frame Relay, and ATM based voice and data Integrated solutions.
At Ascend, I was dedicated to the MCIWorldcom account with the responsibility of developing designs for revenue generating networks within MCI. I prepared responses to many RFPs which resulted in network solutions using Frame Relay, ATM, dial-up, and TCP/IP routing. I worked with the MCIWorldcom team to design, develop, and field test new network configurations for large-scale LAN and WAN projects which included a new high speed Frame Relay and ATM core using Lucent switches.
I was dedicated to the MCI account with the responsibility of developing designs for revenue generating networks within MCI. It was important to understand the requirements and help the customer understand solutions possible with the products with the end goal of lab certification. I completed numerous RFPs which resulted in doubling business year over year for the 2 years I was with Cisco. I worked with MCI to develop lab certification test plans, field trials, and deployment schedules to install new networking components while minimizing network downtime.
My main objective was to meet with Enterprise and Service Provider customer prospects and understand their business service objectives for network redundancy and resiliency. With this information, we helped them understand how Network Simulation and Protocol Analysis tools could help customers determine how they could increase efficiency, scalability, and survivability to meet those objectives through live demonstrations using the customers own network data.
My responsibilities consisted of managing the growth and utilization of the Global TI Network. This included long-range planning for consolidation of separate business unit networks into one cohesive corporate network and folding the legacy IBM SNA network into the TCP/IP network. I worked on numerous committees to define the Global standard for premise twisted pair wiring, optical cabling standards, a routing strategy using OSPF, and routing/switching standards for small to medium sized remote offices.
