•Led the development of specialized ground electronics systems for a LOx/Ethanol liquid bipropellant rocket.•Engineered a Data Acquisition (DAQ) subsystem for monitoring real-time metrics such as fill level, pressure, temperature, and thrust.•Created a Switch Box subsystem that sends commands from the bunker to the pad via Wi-Fi or RS-485 based on physical switch states.•Manufactured a Controls subsystem that executes the Switch Box’s commands to control solenoid valves and ignite e-matches-facilitating fill, ignition, and abort procedures.•Implemented a Raspberry Pi to integrate the subsystems and act as a local server-enabling remote communication and live data visualization configured on Grafana.•Designed and assembled PCBs that enhance subsystem efficiency through strategic component placement, ensuring optimal signal integrity and minimal spatial footprint.•Programmed subsystem software primarily in C++, focusing on efficient data processing and communication algorithms for reliable system performance.
