Michael began his career at O&R in 1982 as a clerk in the Gas Resources Department. Over the next ten years, he held positions of increasing responsibility and was subsequently promoted to Supervisor – Fuel Resources. Michael later served as Sr. Administrator – Gas Control at the Spring Valley and West End Avenue Control Centers. He was named Manager – Public Affairs for Rockland Electric Company in 2001 and assumed responsibility for municipal affairs in O&R's Central Division in June 2005. Michael was promoted to his current position of Sr. Manager – Public Affairs in January 2008. During his career at O&R, Michael has served two terms on the Company's Community Investment Committee and spent three years on the Multicultural Advisory Committee. He is active in Orange and Rockland's United Way campaign and served on the United Way of Rockland County. For over 25 years, Michael has played an active role in the community. He has served on the Rockland County Legislature since January 2005, and also serves on the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority. Michael previously served on the Haverstraw Town Board for four years, and spent 14 years as West Haverstraw's village treasurer.Michael currently serves on the board of directors of the Orange County Arts Council and is a Paul Harris Fellow with the North Rockland Rotary Club.
