I was tasked with overseeing the new business strategy for Berkley Program Specialists, managing prospective program administrator relationships nationwide, as well as engaging with key industry groups such as Target Markets Program Administrators Association (TMPAA), Wholesale and Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) and Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS). Additional responsibilities included leading the business development team in identifying program opportunities and increasing the company’s profile within the Program Administrator community

In collaboration with other leaders, manage a national portfolio generating ~$1.2bln of program premium through MGA partners. Vice President, New Program Development – From February 2016, I was responsible for the identification and development of new program opportunities throughout QBE's North American footprint. In addition to looking for ways to expand existing program relationships, I represent QBE at industry conferences such as Target Markets, NAPSLO, and AAMGA where we seek new business partners that meet QBE’s risk appetite, can demonstrate suitable expertise and a history of sustained profitability.Vice President, Principal Program Manager - In July 2014 I became responsible for the underwriting, operations, and P&L of 4 Inland Marine Programs totaling $80mln GWP in addition to maintaining a business development role.Vice President Sales, Western Region – Upon joining QBE I was initially responsible for portfolio of ~$280mln of program business located in 13 western states. In addition to managing existing relationships I prospected new business partners that met QBE’s risk appetite.

Additional operational responsibilities included: direct program management, on-line customer self-service portal, and all associated sales and marketing strategies, plus sales, distribution segmentation, and management information reporting for Custom Accounts Division. Worked in collaboration with the Call Center & Policy Services leadership to ensure all operational metrics were consistently exceeded.

Company Description: Managing General Agent with exclusive Ocean Marine contract for Kemper Insurance Company, designated Ocean Marine underwriter for Lloyd’s Syndicate 1236, Shipowners Mutual, British Marine, plus other International insurance companies specializing in brown water commercial vessels. Responsible for all aspects of company operations: established budget, produced business, reviewed market penetration and developed new business contacts, review and negotiation of re-insurance treaties, liaison with international business partners, oversaw claims handling and approved all settlements, managed and provided direction to staff, executive decision making.
