As Electrical and Automation Engineering Director I am primarily responsible for the design of electrical, technology, instrumentation and control systems for the Water/Wastewater industry. As electrical and automation improvements are dependent on each other for implementation, Concentric has combined both into one department. I am responsible to produce a consistent work product among design engineers in the company and biddable construction documents. I lead a team of engineers to produce electrical and automation designs for clients to meet the current and future needs for power and automation technology for sustainable and efficient operating systems. Design documents include Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), specifications, detailed control panel schematics, site plan drawings, single line diagrams, plan drawings, installation details and motor schematics. These systems typically include process instrumentation, control panels, motor controls, power monitoring, PLCs, OITs/HMIs, SCADA/DCS Systems, industrial networking, IT infrastructure, radio/cellular telemetry, reporting, & data collection. Electrical design consists of performing load calculations for power distribution systems, layout of Switchgear, MCC and power panels that serve various loads including motor load for pumps and compressors. Concentric also supports transportation electrical work and roadway lighting as we expand our offerings. Concentric Integration provides smart water planning, consulting, implementation, and managed support for progressive water and wastewater utilities.
