During my 9+ years at Furness Partnership I have progressed from a graduate role to leading the drainage department in the office.Key Skills Include:Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS) & Surface Water Drainage Design,Foul Water Drainage Design,Hydraulic Calculations using MicroDrainage,Section 104/106 Sewer Adoption & Section 185 Sewer Diversion Agreements,BREEAM Pol 03 Credit Compliance,Site Surveys & Technical SuDS Report Writing,Technical Drawings using AutoCAD,Liaising With Local Authorities,External Works & Private Road/Pavement Design.For the past 9+ years I have designed and developed large scale sustainable surface water drainage schemes (SuDS) in accordance with Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) specifications for planning approval. This involves creating concept designs, writing technical reports, producing drawings with AutoCAD, providing hydraulic calculations using MicroDrainage, and liaising with local authorities to demonstrate compliance.I have worked extensively with Water Authorities dealing with the technical aspects of Section 104 public sewer adoptions and Section 185 sewer diversions on behalf of clients. This consists of producing technical drawings and hydraulic calculations to an exacting specification.I have also designed foul water drainage systems for a wide variety of residential, leisure, education, industrial, and commercial projects. This includes remote/rural developments with no access to public sewer networks where approval to discharge into a sewage treatment plant and drainage field or watercourse is required from the Environment Agency.
