Michael provides advice and counsel on litigation, commercial contract negotiations, government contracts, warranty defense, employment issues and other general legal matters.With 20 years of experience serving the aviation industry, Michael has represented companies that manufacture aviation and aerospace components such as engines, altimeters, power systems, navigation databases, restraint systems and a variety of flight-critical products and software; as well as domestic and international airlines in litigation and commercial matters. Michael also provides advice and counsel on various transactional aspects of the development of unmanned aerial systems, including risk analysis, intellectual property agreements, software licensing agreements, supplier and procurement agreements and sales agreements. Michael has published articles in a variety of law journals and periodicals, including in Southern Methodist University's Journal of Air Law & Commerce. Michael also co-authored a chapter analyzing the unique challenges of personal jurisdiction in aviation litigation in the American Bar Association's 2008 publication, Litigating the Aviation Case. He regularly speaks at aviation seminars and conferences, focusing on areas of product liability defense, risk assessment and mitigation, e-discovery challenges and other areas of interest to the aviation and aerospace industries.Michael is an AV Rated attorney, and a graduate of the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University. He is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of California, New York, Florida and Georgia.
