I've had the opportunity to move back to my roots in Greensboro, North Carolina to grow my family's business. To not lose touch with all of the skills I had gained in the sports marketing world, I helped establish a reputable client base and manage the project process from start to finish.The core of my job has been to build a digital strategy to expand brand knowledge across the Triad, North Carolina and the East Coast. I also oversee planning and execution of new business and identify the client's IT/Networking needs. From there, I go to creating strategies that work within their budget. Throughout my time here, I serviced Dale Earnhardt Jr. on behalf of his race team JR Motorsports in NASCAR. My responsibilities included launching Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s presence on Twitter and growing his virtual fan base, work with high-end clients and sponsors on all approvals concerning the rights of usage to any video, scripts, language and images of Earnhardt. On top of this, I managed all logistics related to Earnhardt’s racing career and contractually obligated sponsor appearances around the United States, serving as the sole liaison of communication between Earnhardt’s airplane pilots, motor coach driver at-track and Hendrick Motorsports team members. Lastly, I was able to recognize that podcasts were becoming an up and coming form of content, so I was the featured personality on Earnhardt’s internet podcast, “Dirty Mo Radio,” on a weekly basis.

Being promoted within this organization was a great honor. With this promotion, I served as an agency lead managing communications, marketing platforms, social media messaging, activation plans and series sponsor relationships with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers, owners, crew chiefs, teams, public relations representatives, and media members (which consisted of 1,300+ accounts). I also served as the agency lead for strategic planning and on-site logistics of all NSCS driver/team sponsor appearances and commercials.On top of these tasks, I had the opportunity to dip my toes into more non-profit efforts tied to this space. This includes managing relationships with NASCAR charities (Foundation and VJG) and NSCS driver organizations on behalf of Sprint. I was serving as the primary point of contact at all charitable events that were sponsored by Sprint (10 total), as well as holding responsibility for managing $100,000 driver initiative charity budget.Above all, the most unique experience that I was able to be part of was managing the NASCAR Diversity Program. I was responsible for hiring, training and leading candidates in summer internships that encouraged diversity in the NASCAR landscape.

I began my Sports Marketing career with Octagon working with Sprint, playing an integral part of Sprint's mobile marketing initiative. I was overseeing the strategic development team in their mobile marketing efforts at every NASCAR track around the country. The platform was titled “The Sprint Experience” and was responsible for entertaining 500,000+ fans at 50+ events annually. I also managed lead generation initiatives for Sprint at NSCS tracks and other venues in-market. As a result, I was able to foster more than 217,000 leads since the program’s inception with a 90% opt-in rate. This program included training and overseeing six full time employees and 15-30 promotional staff members at every event.
